Specialized body for standards-related research and innovation STAIR

This specialized body:

• monitors current research programmes to investigate their links with European standardization;
• recommends action where the necessary links are absent
• develops networking with research and innovation;
• liaises with the European Commission and other political institutions that promote research in Europe and make sure research is done for the benefit of standardization;
• and identifies process optimizations to simplify the introduction of new standards projects relating to innovation and research.
